Discount Brokers Review

Discount Brokers are also known as self directed brokers, they will not provide buy or sell rcommendations. Although their web site may quite likely packed with research tools, however, they don't stand by their research results. Some of them may even provide education, free or paid, you should understand this is still education purpose only. You are on your own.

Still like many of us, I can not afford to open an account with a prime brokers. I researched and traded my own account for many years. I have not made a fortune and I am still carrying the capital loss. I decided to write down what I know about the brokers and I welcome user comments about brokers. Please sent your comments to comments at stocksoftwarerevire.com. I will publish your comments.

Trade King

Trade King is the Editor's Choice for online stock trading. Trade King charges a flat–rate, discounted commission of $4.95 for a first–grade online brokerage service. The commison is straight forward and non-tiered, which means none active traders/investors are gettting the same price as very active traders.

Trade King also packed with tools for the average investors. They have been awarded the highest ranking of 4 out of 4 stars in Barron’s. They also won Best Discount Broker in SmartMoney’s 2007 Broker Survey for the second year in a row.
TD Ameritrade

Recently TD Ameritrade bought out ThinkorSwim to strength its business in option trading. They have been one of the largest brokers in the world. They have $600 billion in client assets. They swallowed Datek, TD waterhouse along the way. The brokerage offers almost any investment you want to purchase.

AMERITRADE control panel has all of the tools and information you need to plan investment strategies and buy and sell securities. They charge a flat fee of $9.99 for a trade. I think the price need to go down much more for me to rank them in the top.
